Michaela posted a picture on Twitter with TJ, Tamara and John Boyd yesterday that said they only have three days left...and maybe a spoiler here I don't know, but TJ is standing up in the photo. Which may or may not be a spoiler but they said before that TJ is diligent to stay in the wheelchair while on set for the realism of it....so maybe he's cured? Just speculating!

Hmm... they are both in all black. Perhaps running away incognito? Not the way I want to see B&B in their last scene. 

-How about the two of them arm in arm, laughing, kissing and getting into that darn taxi and driving away together?
-Or Brennan sitting on Booth's lap, like in EITB, telling him they are pregnant?
- Or go back to the setting "Nothing happens unless first a dream" and have Booth tell Brennan again that "he knew right from the beginning and he found the person to love for thirty, forty or fifty years" And this time they walk together arm in arm as husband & wife.
- B&B at the site of the Jeffersonian where they were married & where Brennan first told Booth "I can be a duck" and she wanted to help him with his cosmic balance sheet. They could have a lovely discussion about how their lives turned out together, ending with a wonderful kiss. 

I just want the perfect ending for them!!

I just want them mirroring the pilot end scene where they walk away together into the future. Perhaps with the kiddos...but I'd be ok if it was just the two of them. Based on Twitter info, it seems like they are wrapping filming at a pilot location, so it fills me with hope.

Accurate. 

I have had so much fun over the last few years discussing the show both here and on Bones Theory. It's made watching a TV show such an interactive experience!

Yes, her card was a lovely gift for cast and crew, but what I was talking about was a farewell to the fans. I saw them from TJ, Michaela, Tamara, John Boyd and many of the squints. Farewells to their characters and farewells to the fans.

DB said his goodbye over many days with pics, videos, etc... He posted this Instagram https://www.instagram.com/p/BN7iFlzg4Lm/?taken-by=dbdbo69&hl=en and more or less said goodbye to Booth. I wonder who this is from...Fox, Hart & Stephen, Emily? His wife commented "Such a brilliant gift" so it wasn't from her. I also wonder if Emily got the same thing with her script and a photo?

I am really hoping that the cast is going to reassemble for a goodbye/retrospective show (I thought someone posted that there was going to be one but I haven't seen anything official about it) or at least hope they will do some press for the final season.

Season 13 for Bones?

Not sure what to think about this. It would only work if the core (David, Emily, Michaela, TJ, and Tamara) return, IMO. Also, this doesn't seem very in character for Mr. "never look back, only look forward" Boreanaz, but it has been a sweet gig for them for 12 years, so who knows?

A thirteenth season isn't out of the question if season 12 does well. It's not like Fox has tons of other shows that are successful! I saw Bones s11 in this week's Target ad. It continues to make $$ for Fox!

Sounds promising (if you want Bones to continue, that is) but I won't really start believing it until I see main cast members (namely DB and ED) or Hart Hanson, Stephen Nathan, or Fox talk about it.

It does kind of make sense in a way though...David and Emily get a nice break but then come back to a show that is filmed in L.A. and provides them with a steady income. I would definitely see it being done in a more limited format though...short seasons or TV movies.

I agree with this. Also the cast NEVER talked about contract negotiations before things were signed on the dotted line. There is also to lawsuit to consider. So I wouldn't think there would be any confirmation of what comes next for quite awhile. I think one good sign would be the lawsuit being worked out. We may know something by the end of the current 12 week run.

This whole 13th season info coming out just seems so strange. Why would Fox decide to end the series, promote this season as "The Final Chapter", tell us they are bringing Booth and Brennan's story to it's conclusion, and then suddenly decide to do another season?

The lab has been blown-up...it could be rebuilt, of course, but seems like an expensive proposition. Maybe a 13th season will be set in a different place, perhaps emphasizing characters other than B&B? Maybe it would focus more on Booth/Aubrey at the FBI and Brenna would only be seen at home, and only occasionally?

I would think Hart Hanson must be onboard with this since he is the creator of the show, but I wonder if the entire vision for a 13th season will come from Michael Peterson. In other words, how much would Hart be involved.

Also, why is this BonesMan#1 allowed to tweet such big news? He was the one who first tweeted pics of Stephen Fry being onset, several days before the news came out.

He's playing....he tweeted that same picture back in November. I think he was in wedding attire to be an extra for the filming of that.

I don't think they are honestly negotiating now. I think the show runners are hoping and that's about it. Planting the seeds perhaps?

Hey y'all. I was on Christmas break and my schedule got all off doing family stuff and whatnot. I missed you all!!

I can't believe our (perhaps) last hiatus is done! I read the posts about a 13th season. I'd be on board with it, if they brought back HH and the old Bones magic. The thing is, I can't see Emily doing it. Unless they retooled it and focused on the FBI side, only having the squints pop in here and there...I could see that.

"The Closer" reorganized after the lead, Kyra Sedgewick, left and became "Major Crimes". They just used the rest of the ensemble cast. So it definitely can be done. I would love to see more DB and TJ especially.

Bones premiere episode...

Thoughts as I watched--

•Wendell is back! Love him!
•Blazer and printed top combo of course
•I am suspecting the doctor of the facility for some reason
•They better not do anything to Max during this last season, since he basically is raising the kids 
•Karen’s sudden reappearance is very suspicious
•Brennan is proud of what Wendell has learned awwwww
•Booth should put an FBI tail on his wife since she blatantly disregards her husband and her own safety in regards to her kids
•Brennan should take security with her, Wendell should not have gone with her like that
•They should be taking photos of the scene and categorizing everything properly, ugh
•If Brennan is so brilliant, she should have been smarter about looking for evidence
•Why is everyone being so creepy?!
•Good job on Booth investigating Karen, but why didn’t he do that first thing, before consulting with her at all?
•How did Karen get clearance into the FBI office and lab with her former job problems?! Those weren’t put in her file?
•YES. Called it on the doctor 
•Booth with one. good. shot. It’s always awesome.
•How do they know it’s probably for good this time, with Hodgins’ legs? Seems like quite an assumption to make.
•Zach looks like he’s in a really beautiful place. I think I’d stay there if I was him haha

Interesting about a possible Bones revival/reunion. Personally, I think the show could continue with a partial cast if only some wanted to return. It could get along without Bones and Booth even; they have such a strong supporting cast that the show could work as an ensemble. Especially if Zach was the new main forensic anthropologist following a fix to his hands (hey, it's no more ridiculous than how he left the show). I think there are indeed possibilities, especially if Zach is involved.

So I was just on USA Today and this was their blurb about Bones starting up for season 12:

Bones
Fox, 9 ET/PT
All TV dramas eventually come to an end, including Bones, which had seemed impervious to time, tide and Fox’s sometimes benign neglect. Tuesday, the series launches its 12th and final season.

That just made me laugh. Everyone knows how Fox treated this show. And, bonus points for using the word "impervious" 

As for AA...she was one of my faves, but I think that shipped has sailed!!

Season 12 Epsiode 2: Thoughts

-I can see Brennan planning her own party. I agree with her. I don't like being surprised, but I do like to surprise others :)
-I recognized the dog lady from like a thousand commercials
-Oh of course the Angelatron gets genius awards
-HOT BLOODED SHOUT OUT
-Nice to see Hodgins happy and looking good again
-And nice to see Booth out in the field, doing FBI awesomeness
-Max is back!
-Oh no, he said "none of us live forever" with a PAUSE.
-Brennan says Daisy is doing B work. But Brennan didn't have the answer either!! And Daisy came up with the answer so is she smarter than Brennan?
-Why doesn't Hodgins have an electronic wheelchair?
-No birthday kiss for Brennan and Booth
-Maxxxxx Waaaahhhhhhh
-I thought this was a solid episode. No baby Hank, and sad with Max, but cute B&B moments and decent case

And in a review, Peterson said that the conclusion is unexpected or something. So is there is a glimmer of hope? I keep seeing that picture of the Christine Brennan tombstone though and that brings me back down.

As for Max's illness, "It's going to be resolved in a way that hopefully no one is expecting," Peterson previews.

One key figure will be MIA during Max's illness: his son, Russ (Loren Dean). Dean appeared in five episodes of the show's earlier era, but hasn't been on-screen since Season 3. (Dean has left acting.) "We looked at [Russ' return], but it seemed like he has moved on," Peterson says. "We tried to resolve it another way."

I hoped Ryan wasn't sick. I wondered. But it seems kinda cruel to have him die on screen if he is in fact sick himself.

I was wondering if that would be the case. That it is in fact Russ who is sick. In need of a transplant would be good, perhaps Max was being tested. Maybe Brennan will also be tested in ep. 7 and find out she is not a match? Thus making her extra sad?

It DOES seem like it would be too obvious to have Max be the one who is sick and dying. But this IS Bones we're talking about. I'm trying to remember the last time they pulled off a surprise twist. Either my sometimers disease is acting up this morning, or there haven't been any in recent history.

That is exactly what I was thinking last night. I cannot imagine they would write that for Ryan considering his real-life struggles. If it turns out Max has cancer then I hope Ryan himself suggested that storyline.

Based on this statement "It's going to be resolved in a way that hopefully no one is expecting," I still wonder if Max doesn't go out guns ablazing, so to speak, and dies saving Brennan or Booth because he knows he's going to die of his illness anyway.

I think we have two valid theories here. Either Russ needing a transplant and Max was just being tested...or Max is suffering from some ailment and goes out guns blazing saving B&B. Either one works for me if done right. I hope that for the show's sake, Russ is the one "leaving" the show because he already has. It would still be emotional for Brennan and not necessarily for the fans. Also, I don't wanna see Ryan have to act out his real life scenario, unless as Estella suggests, he actually suggested it.

I want to hear this from RO himself and NOT Peterson and Collier! I would think he might do a little press later in the series if in fact they are killing him off. He is the biggest 'star' bones has had on recurring status during this series!

PS - I'm very pleasantly surprised that Bones is a subject for Fox today at the TCA's. I wonder if we'll learn anything new later today?

According to the cast lists here on CC Ryan O'Neal is not scheduled to appear again in the series. Although the cast list for episode 6 seems incomplete. In the party scene the camera focused an inordinate amount on Max. This may be the last time we see him. If he does die I wonder if Brennan will feel bad because Max visited her at the lab and she was too busy with the case to talk to him.

I am glad that Caroline Julian will appear at least in episode 4. She has not been seen since episode 11.11.

Ryan posted an on-set picture on his Facebook page in mid-October. It looks like it was probably his last appearance on Bones. Mid-October is when they were filming episode 8, so we were guessing that he would appear in that episode and it would be his final one. There is just speculation and as far as I know has not been verified.

Agreed. He's aged well. I never watched his other shows, but I've seen pictures people have posted and frankly, his looks have improved. He had a creepy vibe before, but maybe that was because he was a vampire! 

I'm glad they had a final TCA - a small celebration of what they accomplished.

Nice to see that DB and ED still appear happy together. I hope so, I'm always a bit leery of actors and their portrayal of things because they are just that - actors!

DB referring to Emily in a story about Bella as Aunt Emily was cute. I hope they truly are and remain friends.

It's funny, the Bones Facebook page has been posting a lot and sometimes I will read the comments. There are just so many diehard fans out there besides us. It's really awesome to see that we aren't the only ones out there. But lots of them are so obsessed, they think Bones never does anything wrong and the storylines are always perfect, so they aren't as analytical as we are :)

Story time: so my Dad was asking me what was up with Zach coming back and being creepy and what was up with the Puppeteer thing. Hes like, what does your board think? Haha he knows me too well. I was trying to explain the Puppeteer thing, and he was like no spoilers, we are an episode behind. I said don't worry, there aren't any spoilers because the first episode was it! Hahahaha

Yeah, I just am glad at least Fox gave Bones time to wrap it up and not go down like the Hindenburg as Castle did. Boy, I feel sorry for that fanbase!! Season 12 of Bones may not be exactly as we wanted it, but at least its a wrap up of sorts. We get to see Max, Avalon, Zach, Caroline, etc and get to mentally say "goodbye". I will always appreciate that opportunity, even if its a little weird how they do it. We got to SEASON 12! Never thought I'd see the day. My beloved "Office" only did 9 seasons and "Parks & Rec" only got 7! And they were promoted heavily by NBC!

I will say that I am very concerned about this Max storyline. I'd trust HH or maybe even SN to do it properly, but I can't say I feel the same about the current crop.

Yes - the current two guys sure don't have a 'sense' for B&B. They have suffered under them. So far, I'm not thrilled with what we've seen for B&B. And the spoiler I saw for tonight's ep wasn't any better. Of the three couples....no romance for B&B. They get the car conversation.....whoopie!

I remember HH once saying during s5/6 maybe? That he couldn't have all the couples happy? If H&A were happy, then B&B needed to have conflict and vice versa. So these last few episodes, I fear H&A and C&A get to be happy and B&B suffer conflicts. This is not making me a happy camper at all! 

While I think in the end, all will be good for B&B, we B&B die hards will not be getting any romance. That singing of hot blooded in the car last week, probably is as good as it gets!

You know, I heard the same thing from "The Office" showrunners. They would either have Jim/Pam together or Dwight/Angela together, so they kept introducing random conflicts and breaking one couple up if the other was together. I've never understood that line of thought. Why can't people just be happy? Or, you could break them up if it is organic to the story and a good idea, not just because you don't want two happy couples together at once so you have to force the issue.

Silly showrunners. They should invite fan participation at some point to see if their genius ideas are well-received...or not 

I just saw a promo Bones pic on FB that was advertising only 9 more episodes left of Bones!!!!!!!   

But I think its funny how they've tagged Bones with a special name for the last season. On my DVR it pops up as Bones: The Final Chapter  So epic.

You guys! I just discovered an awesome Bones reviewer! She points out the anthropological things done correctly and done wrong, as well as laughs at the Angelatron. It's pretty great.

LOL, it sounds like I wrote some of these comments:

*Booth and Brennan go to the suspected torture chamber, without any backup because of course

*While I know it’s a TV convention, in this episode the practice of finding only some fractures, and then others, and then still others annoyed me quite a bit. If you do your job right, you find them all at the same time.

*As usual, ID was never confirmed with DNA, dental records, etc.

*Was there a good explanation for the exsanguination of Aldo’s body? Just rats, I guess?

*I normally give a pass to the Angela and Hodgins techniques, but they were all pretty ridiculous this week.

*Booth and Brennan never bring backup. Like, at least take Aubrey with you.

*Aubrey’s dad should figure in to an upcoming episode, I guess.

Where is Kathy Reichs - this should certainly have been corrected. How could she have allowed that to happen for so many years?

I'm sure she is very hands off at this point. Just a figurehead. After all the showrunner changes and lawsuits and time passing by....I'm guessing she is barely involved in the actual show process.

I'm a little sad that I just discovered this reviewer now because she can point out where all the science goes wrong. ON A SCIENCE SHOW.

And she validated we are all correct when we believed the Angelatron is full of crap. lol

I'm not super fond of either machine, but I guess I like the Angelatron better because it is *slightly* more realistic looking. The early model was just way too unreal for me. Not that the other one is that realistic either, it practically solved the whole case itself last week. B&B can go retire now, let the computer do it 

Super OT: Anyone planning on watching the live action Beauty and the Beast? I'm torn. I like the idea of it, but I don't want them to ruin it. I know they've changed some stuff like Belle is the inventor instead of her dad but the trailer did make it seem like it stays to the basic storyline. (http://usat.ly/2jQDit2) I did see the live action Cinderella and liked it. But I am very picky about movies I go to see in the theaters because it's so much money to go these days, I want to make sure I will like it!

Thoughts? 

I've posted this on other threads but in case anyone specifically aims for this thread...

So it looks like we are narrowing our post IMDB options down to a FB page called Bones IMDB Group and/or a WordPress page like Bones Theory https://bnb45.wordpress.com/.

I can see the merits of both. For FB, it is an easy way to share links and news, and it is something a lot of people use anyway (at least I do) on a daily basis so that makes it easy to check.

The WordPress account works too because it maintains anonymity even better and reminds us of Bones pages that are no longer with us.

I can maintain both or just one if we want to vote and pick a preferred option.

I love going over to Bones Theory to read old posts, but then it just makes me sad when I think about how Bones once was vs. what we have now. Maybe Sarah was right to leave when she did.

On the other hand, I love Christine and Hank and wouldn't want to lose those memories.

Yeah, I know what you mean. There have been some really great moments in later seasons. Like "let it melt" and baby Hank and some sweet moments with Grandpa Max...I like looking back on the early stuff because it helps me remember just why I'm so invested. Gives me strength to finish the race 

Sarah always did such a great job with gifs!

I find it interesting though, that only about 3 of those were AFTER B&B become a couple. So much chemistry, attraction & looks before they were a couple! We could still have that chemistry and those looks with the no kissing/no touching rule in effect. 

Love the pics from Memories, and the "well... yeah" on the elevator in Blizzard is one of my all time favorite Booth lines. He says it so sexy!

So I am attempting to have a conversation on the Bones official FB page. The page initially posted this:

So I replied:

I don't want to to learn Brennan's way. Let the man teach his child how to ride a bike without robbing them all of joy. I hate what they've done to her. She's just a cold, science robot now, not the caring and empathetic Brennan. You guys, I love Bones, but you have to admit that how she is now is not how she used to be. She is very different. Before she had empathy and caring and I see little of that now.

Here are a few of the responses I received:

I'm currently rewatching season 1 and I have to disagree, bones had always been cold and scientific, I mean she goes around telling people how here loved ones died, even explaining how Angela BF in season 1 died out in the desert right in front of her, bones has definetly got better over the years, but she is still a scientist at heart and I love that about her character.

She didn't chastise him for playing with Christine, she did it for letting her try something which, without proper understanding, got her injured. That isn't cold, it's protective. She's always been very analytical, and if anything, she's gotten softer over the seasons, not colder.

When was Brennan NOT totally logic science and unemotional? If anything they've grown her character over the years. This is totally her.

I think Brennan has the right idea: the beauty and fun in the world comes from understanding how it works

Just when I despaired for the future of the entire human race, I got a couple of these:

Is Brennan more analytical and dopey this season or is it my imagination? Poor Booth can barely have a normal conversation with her.

A diagram to learn how to ride a bike? Sometimes I want to slap Bones upside her head! Just once for the love of God listen to your husband and let your children be children!

I've always loved the show but this season hasn't really hit the mark for being the final farewell so far. I agree with her. All the measuring during the show was a bit over done. I hope the final season will improve as it reaches it's end.
