I've been wondering for a while who is going to play Caroline, Will, and Olivia does any one know?

I don't know, but i want to know who is going to play Rebecca(the older version) and Derek, and Peter. Because aren't they introduced in the third book??

shareI'm really worried that they are basically going to sacrifice the character of Rebecca. She isn't credited in the cast for the second movie. She comes into her own in Book 3, and you can't really introduce the Ingalls without her, and I'd never forgive Mr. Van Wagenen if he cuts the English brothers, among the finest-drawn of Lund's characters.

shareMake sure that everyone goes to American Zion otherwise I doubt we will get anything past A House Divided. I forwarded an email to everyone I know and am trying to get my ward and stake to see the film. I worry that the box office isnt high enough, and I for one want more films.

If you watch the trailer, there's a part where a bullet goes through a window and then you see a younger boy and a man duck for cover. I was thinking maybe that could be Peter and Derek. But the boy also kinda looks like Will (who you see with Caroline). Or it could be someone we don't know. But I'm hoping it's Derek and Peter, cuz I would be so upset if their characters got cut. And i don't want them to be under-played either, along with Matthew and Becca. Watch the trailer. If you just watch it normal, it goes fast, and is hard to see, but if you watch the trailer scene-by-scene, maybe you can see who you think the two mystery men are.(Derek and Peter?! maybe not, but I'm hoping)
I've never read the books, but the films have completely sucked me in. I plan on starting the series soon! It's good to read what other fans are saying!

I held off on reading the series because of its popularity in Mormon Culture in assuming it was littered with cheese. After seeing the first film on DVD, I ran out to see American Zion in the theatre.
I was compelled to be humble by the great story, cast, and performances...and thus repented of my earlier prejudices toward the story. I picked up the first book and loved it...it was much more powerful than the film, but was basically the same story.
American Zion deviated quite a bit from LIKE A FIRE IS BURNING, and I in fact prefer the novel. It was a completely different experience, but American Zion is still wonderful.
I just finished book three and am already a good way through book four.
They are outstanding books and certainly enhance my testimony, and of course my knowledge of church history.
Pick them up...NOW!

I really enjoyed the first two movies in this series.
Because I am not an LDS member, but I have been attending Mormon church services, It was a good way for me to learn some of the background of the religion I am interested in.
I was wondering where I could find the books? I live in CO and my friend says there aren't any Mormon bookstores around, and thats normally where you have to find them. SO if you have any ideas, let me know.

shareI'm sorry to disappoint you, but I asked Sterling Van Wagenen (the director) outright if the Ingalls brothers would be in the film, and he said no. Good news, though. On deseretbook.com you can see the new paperback cover to go with the film. It has Joseph, Joshua, and Caroline on it. And on the audio book on CD there's another picture that looks like Ben's baptism!
