Canadians out there, you may know this... (Part of our Heritage)

Just curious, is Roy Dupuis the same guy that played Maurice Richard in the "Part of our Heritage" commercials? The two actors look identical in their portrayals.

I knew it was too close to be a coincidence...

I didn't even know people actually paid attention to those Heritage clips.

I guess when it's hockey, almost every Canadian pays attention.

Like people have said he was the guy who played Maurice in the "Part of our Heritage" comercials.

It is that comercial that inspired the producers of the Maurice Richard TV mini serie to cast him in the role a few years back.

And it is his performance in the mini serie that inspired the producers of the movie to cast him in the role (the only actor from the mini serie casted in the movie)

Roy Dupuis has played Maurice Richard in 3 different productions.

He was really good in this but I prefer him in La Femme Nikita.

To whoever said "I didn't even know people paid attention to those commercials", you know Pierce Brosnan played a faux native in one? hehehe
