2. What happened to make the pianist decline so quickly? I felt she was doing so well up to when they were dragged out because the SS had found their door unlocked, and then all of a sudden she basically starts to lose it. . .
I believe Erika snuck behind a wall of clothes to drink the urine in the bucket. When lea asked her husband if she thought it would help, he said no. When she went to do it she couldnt.The pianist started to lose her mind due to dehydration, when the SS sprayed water she was licking the floor like a mad woman when she should have been waiting for the buckets. She was old so the circumstances made her lose it, just like Erika was.
