I know it's not a Kubrick or a Lynch but "worth seeing only for a paper on bad movies"? I wouldn't go that far. You say you are from Netherlands, and I'm curious just how familiar you are with Romanian films...

First of all: very good acting, superb camera angles, good choice for going with black and white.

Assuming you understood the basic plot i'm just going to comment on your review. I agree it has the "awkward copy" effect but it's a mistake to compare it to Memento. Of course they both have the reversed timeline, but unlike Memento, Fix Alert is also scrambled, like a puzzle. Memento has an exact plot while Fix Alert has the "opera aperta" quality.
Although there are unnecessary headshots, there is no "Chuck Norris vs. Rambo" action. I believe the writers wanted to emphasize how dangerously shallow the gun traffic has become (the gun dealer is a sadly childish person).

I admit it is a bit redundant in the "Fix" part but this enhances the "Alert" effect.
This brings us to the second "Alert" part. I'm not a movie expert but i believe this is the dawn of new sub-genre... you must at least admit the title is well chosen. Did i mention the great soundtrack and (again) the great acting? Another person on a Romanian website said Fix Alert is like a postmodern experiment. He/she also said:

<< ...The movie puts great accent on acting, even though the director's point of view is very experimental and ostentatious - in a good way. I conclude with the ideea that the movie "catched me" because I wanted to be "catched" - this is the essential condition at an encounter with a postmodern opera:"you want to play my game, or not?"...>>

I can see you're not familiar with the "opera aperta" genre. I believe the child from the Alert part is... you ... and me (got the idea). For exceptional sci-fi "opera aperta" watch Donnie Darko, for a twisted timeline "opera aperta" watch Mulholland Drive, for a symbolistic "opera aperta" watch The Fountain, for a "cotton candy for the mind opera aperta" watch 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I don't know where you heard that the movie is intended for the American market, but I'm not going to argue with you on this. I have no idea where you noticed Amercian verbal cliches. Trust me, it's all in the translation. The scenes that appear irrelevant to the story start to make sense at a second run.

Verdict: Please don't judge so harsh things you don't fully understand.
