I don't usually stick up for movies that get poor reviews, but I did not think that this film was that bad. I found it to be genuinely creepy, which is more than can be said for a lot of horrors. True there were some pretty bad plot holes but that can be said for most horrors. I thought the acting was pretty good that the twist quite suprising. I also realy liked the lead actress :)

shareI also think that this movie was not all that bad - but of course nothing speical. Henry James was attracted to the supernatural and I think we can assume that the apparitions were genuine. I wish that the story had been set in the 1890s as was the original novella. I give this movie 5 marks out of 10.
