Everyone thinks that Anna is a psychotic pedophile but I don't buy it.

Reason #1- Why was Annas face screwed up in the end.
Reason #2- Why did the other Nanny kill herself? "Why did the kids say not her too" when she fainted!
Reason #3- How did she see the dead male ex-employee before she knew about him
Reason #4- What was up with the church, the eyes in the children were whited out...symbolism?
Reason #5- What about the kids doing very strange
things (Flora looking out an open window at Miles)

There are others but it would take to long to explain it all

1.) It was her face as a child, when she was raped. I think to alude to the reason she was nuts.
2.) I think the nanny killed herself because she was in a situation she couldn't handle mentally. The Nanny was also pregnant, and had probubly fainted, as many pregnant women do. So the kids thought that anna was like the previous girl.
3.) Not to sure about this one, could have found out information before she got there? Saw a picture? Just because she saw him doesn't mean she wasn't psychotic.
4.) Yes, it was just symolism.
5.) The kids were messing with Anna because she was 'messing' with them.

You must see a movie called "The Nighcomers" with Marlon Brando and Stephanie Beacham. This will possibly explain the natures of Miss Jessel and Quint ! Then you must see "The Innocents" with Deborah Kerr ! Excellent movies. This movie with LeeLee was not up to her acting. I like her a lot but this role was not for her. Happy to see the lovely Tara Fitzgerald though. This role, however, was played by a much older woman in the Innocents. Actually, Valerie Bertinelli did a pretty good job in another version of this movie a while back. It was a made for TV movie.

the director or screenwriter could perhaps explain it. or then again they would refuse to, saying "figure it out for yourselves you idiots", them calling you And Me the idiots, not me of course.

First of all those aren't reasons, they're questions. Second of all all of those were explained in the movie except for why Ms. Jessel drowned and why Anna saw Quint before she new about him.

If you have not read the book "Turn of the screw" which this is based on, I recommend it.

The book does not explain things away but lets the reader decide for themselves if the nanny was crazy or the ghosts are real.
