horrible disappointment of a movie

I expected the French to come up with a truly erotic movie. But this version pales significantly in comparison to the steamy version with Sylvia Kristel and Nicholas Clay. The actress in this version is positively dull and wooden as Lady Chatterley. The actor who played Parkin is completely unattractive and downright repellant. Yeah, you'd HAVE to be trapped in the country with an impotent husband to want to do THIS guy, sheesh! These two actors show *no* chemistry together onscreen at all, barely any acting range, and the sex scenes are so non-erotic they almost put me off sex.

Don't waste your time (as I did) watching this snoozer. Watch the much better version with Kristel and Clay.

Does anybody really know what time it is?

Oh, really? stuck to Sylvia Kristel movies, then.

I hope you didn't allow that brainless review to alter your view of the film. Hope you at least saw it for yourself. As the poster above wrote, the OP ought to stick to Eurosleaze softcore. This is a beautiful, sensual film.

I totally agree. It was beautiful and sensual. As the film went on, I thought the gamekeeper to be sensitive and loving. I wanted them to stay together.

The luminescent Marina Hands dull and wooden? You need to stay away from those funny cigarettes you must be smoking.🐭

I liked it. I think the gruff and near ugly look of the gamekeeper works. Because even though he's not the suave wealthy man, he has a strength that Clifford lacks and that the wife craves. That was the whole point of the film.
