Sub-titles

I wish they would add subtitles for those of us who do not speek fluent spanish. I love watching.

They have sub-titles in Spanish - (which you probably know) and subtitles in English on what I think is termed CC3. If you have a lot of closed captioning options on your tv, it probably has this. I always leave the closed captioning on to help me follow along (in Spanish). I don't know who does the captioning, but they are not the greatest. They get the right idea, but it is not exactly what is being said.

How can you get the English captioning (CCC3)? I use the Spanish captions, because I don't want to miss any of the dialouge, but English would be a lot better for me.

I really enjoy this telenovela!

I don't have this option on my tv, so I can't tell you for sure. I know that, when I select closed caption in my menu, it gives me a choice between 1 and 2, so I guess some tv's have a third option.

I'm glad you're enjoying the novela! No one I know watches it, and that's a bummer.

I often wondered why Univision Novellas do better in the ratings than Telemundo's novellas and one of my friends told me it is b/c Univision is Mexican and many people who live here are from Mexico. I have watched some of Univision's novellas, but find Telemundo are better. What do you think?

reply

Interesting question. I personally don't think it has anything to do with the novelas being Mexican. In my area, Mexican's are well outnumbered by other Latinos and Univision is more popular. I think, for one thing, there is a different feel to the Telemundo novelas. Most importantly, though, Univision always uses the same actors that we know and love. I know I get psyched to watch a new novela when I see this actor or that actor is in it that I miss and haven't seen in a while. I began watching "El Cuerpo" because I knew Mario Cimarro and Andres Garcia from Univision.

I agree with you on the Brazilian soaps. I really enjoy watching them. I especially liked El Color Del Pecado and Senora del Destino.

How do you think El Cuerpo will end? All the reports say it will be different from En Cuerpo Anejo, the Columbian soap from '92.

I'm starting to think they are just going to keep running until they crash. I think maybe PJD's spirit may go into Valeria's baby (hope not) and the real Salvador will return to his body. Isabel will die. . . That's whay I think.

Oops, I keep saying "Valeria" when I mean "Angela"
