Ralph Fiennes is a pretty shoddy actor, so that's not really saying much.

PS: Actors like kay Kay Menon, Boman Irani, Nana Patekar don't make people rush out to watch their movies but they are still good and much respected actors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Kay Menon, Boman Irani, Nana Patekar. I think of them being "quality" actors, Menon especially in "Sarkar". There's one guy who can act with his eyes without over doing it.

I kind of find it funny that you also included his Razzie nominations since that's an award that most actors would dread. Worst actor and worst on screen actress. The majority of the awards he has won or been nominated for Schindler's List. Everything else has been pretty much a nomination. And an MTV nomination means squat, that's all about commercialism instead of art (who cares if he was nominated for liplock with Jennifer Lopez?).

He has a few nominations, good for him. As for shoddy, maybe that's the wrong word to use, slightly too harsh. He's alright at best, I wouldn't put him in the top ten or anything.

Also awards aren't everything. Lots of actors give good performances that are ignored or aren't merited.

Interseting what you say about Kay Kay Menon, totaly agree with you he is great to watch.

I think Ralph Fiennes is a good actor (based on his work in "Schindler's List" and "The English Patient"), but, as a whole movie, I dreaded "The English Patient": it was just so boring...

That's true, I'll agree with that. By the way, as for returning to thespian roots..."Maid In Manhatten". Going for studio roles doesn't mean that he's selling out, but I think he still wants to be more of a mainstream actor than he is. "Red Dragon" was also a studio film, but a good one at that.

Ralph Fiennes was awesome as Lord Voldemort
