Are the sex scenes of the rape real?

I watched the movie and though I didn't really liked it, it made me wonder whether the sex scenes in the movie are real.

It may be a noob question, but since the main actor and the rape victim both had full frontal nudity views, this question came to my mind.

Also in another note, When looking at the rape victim (played by Miranda WIlson), I seem to not understand why a person with family and kids (I looked at her bio online) would agree to participate in such a scene.

Any suggestions and insights from others will be great

Miranda was interviewed after the film's premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and she said:

'Wilson assures me that the shoot was very careful, very respectful. She says she had long conversations with her teenage co-stars, and that there was a counsellor standing by should anyone feel the need. The set was kept warm, she says, and someone threw a blanket over her naked body as soon as the director called cut. She says: "There was enormous concern on the part of the production that made me feel safe, and I went home clean."'
