The Cure

The Cure, is (obviously) the most original "rock" band in music history. They did not rely on "trips", "wars" or artificial influences, etc., to aide them, just early artistic influences(although the cure has always seemed to have had an original sound). Robert Smith deserves as much recognition as the great composers of musics past.
As music is emotion, no music brings me more emotion to me than Prokoviev, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Robert Smith. Disentegration was the start to the 'CURE's' unearthly (god-like) status. Next was Bloodflowers, (which i hope they revert back to, as well as disentegration). Then there is the "Trilogy".
As classical music is timeless, so is the Cure. Hearing them live will only strengthen opinions. The Cure is an oxymoron in today's society. As horrible as things are these days, music included, the cure has now and always have seperated themselves from the pack, and(to me) have joined histories musical elites. We need only to be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy music, that's all and that's it. It's a relief.
