This movie shows the modern and ancient forms of Turkish movie in very intriguing manner. Bravo!
I now would like to buy and oud and pump out some flamenco myself!
"I couldn't understand the city, O only got the surface of it" this was the word at the end of the movie. And I've been living all my life in Istanbul since I was born, and even I couldn't understand the city.

For me is a good movie but no great.
About music is not so clear.
It show the differents Istambul musics, but about the traditional music is not so clear where, what, when, who...etc...etc..
About rock or hip-hop everybody know the influences and everybody has in their own country.
And if the movie is about culture is a bit poor.
I like the movie, but is not clear.
Maybe my problem was I din´d like Alexander Hacke (the bass player and conducting the story).
Sometime the musicians was not good to talk about music.
Sometime is better the musicion play music, and to have some local journalist or writer to talk about music.
It was interesting to see the gypsy influence in the turkish music.
