Ending was unnecessary

The point is, that televisions don't always tell the truth. OR the point is that, if you have the chance to change your life, do it immediately. Don't wait to long. If she would have accepted while standing in the door, there wouldn't be a BAM at the end.

I just loved the ending. Took me a couple of minutes to recover the first time I saw it, but after being over the shock, I liked it.

The ending was the point. If she had accepted the invitation and gone over there and then, she would have had the life she saw on the tv. A kind of "....and this is what you could have won" scenario.
