What's the point?

I watched this film yesterday and, while I found every scene entertaining, I did not see what made this a film besides being a video 2 hours long. Ok, I get it, life in Ukraine sucks and some Western Europeans treat immigrants like *beep* But I don't need a movie to show me that. I already know it. Also, I think Olga is a likeable character. But Paulie? He's always asking for money and he doesn't really try to do anything with his life. And why did Paulie and Michelle go to Ukraine? What for? They don't explain that. The movie should be entirely about Olga.

In summary, I think the movie, though entertaining, is a mess. It has nice ideas, and interesting points but it leads nowhere. Nothing changes, it's much like Anomalisa. Entertaining but a whole lot of nothing in the end.
