In All Honesty...

This movie was plain horrible. My father actually MET Hector Lavoe and he was something like it... probably 35% and the wife was DEFINETLY not as possessive as she is portrayed in this movie. Not only that, but this is just an excuse for Jennifer Lopez to gain the hispanic population after such heavy fiascos in her past. Marc Anthony didn't do himself a favor either... it's more like a show to the world of how attached Marc and Jennifer are. Even Mr. Lavoe's daughter tried to get people to boycott the film because it was not THE TRUE portrayal of their life. I hated it before it even came out, nevertheless, I gave it a try and decided that I'd be neutral until I watched it.... it did not meet ANY of my expectations and to portray a life, a life that is probably in comparison's to Ray Charles, is an insult to not only Hector Lavoe's career, but his legacy. I'm not saying the man wasn't a saint either, but the least that could've been done was an actor/actress re-adjustmen because they were just parading the fact that they are a couple.

I know there's gonna be plenty of people out there who disagree and I'll respect that, but in my opinion, this movie was not worth the watching and Marc and Jennifer are not making the movie any easier to watch...
