So it completely confused me when Hector meets Willie in the movie he speaks some words in osanish to willie and willie tells him he doesnt speak spanish....How is this possible if Willie Colon has written all these hits in Spanish? or did he learn Spanish after meeting hector? I'm confused!
shareIt confused me aswell because my father who was a musician came to the u.s in the late 60's from cuba and didn't know how to speak english...he met willie colon in jersey months later after his arrival and they spent hours talking about salsa music. My father told me willie's spanish wasn't as fluent as his but he could speak it.
