Pure self-indulgent meaningless claptrap

I was very excited about seeing this film, but was ultimately disappointed. It had about as much story to it as gay cowboys eating pudding. First, the accents were very thick and difficult to understand; Second, most of the characters spoke too softly to be clearly understood (in addition to the thick accents); Thirdly, it seemed to me that they had a lot of us "crackers" playing arabs; And lastly, it went abso*&%$^#!lutely nowhere. I know a good story should find it's ending in it's beginning but this was ridiculous - there was only beginning. It ended when I thought it was going to start in earnest. Hey - I love a good character study, but only when the character is intelligible and learns something important about himself (none of which happens in this movie). A complete waste of my time.... Now I'm gonna go watch "Kingdom of Heaven", at least it has a plot.

I agree. It seems that the filmmaker had a veiled political message to tell when he made this. The Muslims are so enlightened and intelligent, let's work with them instead of warring with them. Same old PC bilge.

I couldn't have said it better myself.... Thanks!

Muslims may have been enlightened 1000 years ago, but we progressed and they remained the same.

What are they doing? Why do they come here?
Some kind of instinct, memory, what they used to do.
