MOLDAVIAN LANGUAGE

Could you please tell me the language they spoke in the country of Moldavia? Just curious.

reply

Rumanian, and that's what the president (an actor from Rumania) speaks.
This country was part of the URSS til 1991. All the political struggles in the film are fantasy. Also, I don't think Moldavia would look like that. It was shoot in a Film Studio in Bucharest (not real streets) used even in a Sherlock Holmes TV series...

reply

Hey "mondodvd", I am a Romanian and I can assure you that Romania was never a part of the URSS.
The film studio were they've done "Second in Command" is called "Castel Film". I've been there!

reply

I had to look up "Moldavia" to find out where the country is and...

The western part of Moldavia is now part of Romania and the eastern part belongs to the Republic of Moldova, while the northern and south-eastern parts are territories of Ukraine.

If I've never seen it before, it's a new release to me!
