I am surprised

that the board makes out like this whole movie was anti catholic,unless most of the posters are american.... (I think they take any criticisms of their faith as seriously as baptists or muslim fundamentalists).

This film showed how women were treated everywhere, the sexism and hypocrisy that existed, where overzealous bigots chose which texts (holy book ones) to base their whole life on and corporal punishment was seen as good for the soul.

Thankfully we know now that that is all bo11ox$$.

I believe this story (my choice) but it certainly shows how the ignorant the world was at that time and in some parts still are because ..well just because
