For some reason when reading the book I always considered JJ to be black.

I adore Krasinski, but I don't know if he has the right vibe for J.J., though I've only seen him in The Office and Jarhead, so I don't really know how versatile he is. Maybe he could pull it off. As far as Cusack, I don't think he's old enough for Martin, nor is he British enough (hopefully the film will be set in London). I'd like to see Hugh Bonneville in the Martin role. I have no idea who's annoying off to pull off Jess, but I don't know very many younger British actresses.
