Their hasent been an expansion where you go above lvl 20?
why is that?

I don't have the game but hoping to get it someday...

There is going to be when they release GW2 which i know the lvl go's above 20

Oh okay I get it and wow they are going to make a Guild Wars 2?
I did not know that..

There haven't been any expansions yet, Nightfall and Factions are just "add-ons" or new campaigns as they put it. You will be able to get higher than 20 in "Eyes of the North", which is coming out this year some time and is going to be the first actual expansion pack

Because leveling mechanics suck ass. Guild Wars is fun without being tied to leveling grind. It rewards your personal abilities as a player instead of rewarding your character's abilities.

EDIT: No, Eye of the North will still have the level 20 cap. GW2, which is a completely different game, will have higher levels, though.
