Yes, is it I mean like completely free? I heard some people say you have to buy something first like an activation code?

Well, if you don't have the money, there actually are completely free MMORPGs that you can download, but they're not as good as the ones you pay for.

But seriously, they have to charge you for something, how else will they maintain the game and give you updates? If it was completely free, we wouldn't be able to ask for anything in return.

Gw when they mean free they mean no monetly fee at all, all you have to pay is for the game. You may get the expasions alone and play it without getting the origional. Its truely a game worth your money. Oh as to the "no free mmorpg game" there is Runescape f2p non members.

Last Chaos is terrible.

If you want free, go with Knight Online

GW is phenominal and worth buying. Once you own the game, you never pay a monthly fee. Compare this to a game like WoW where you spend $50 for the game, and get to pay a monthly fee on top of that.

Guild Wars is a great game for it's cost and its game play, it requires actaul skill unlike WoW where you are either better or worse than the other by a large margin.
