Anyway.
I was amazed at what the character Wesley did in the movie, but I have to assume that, due to all of teh controls on child actors, that it was somehow altered. For sure, the second take, was just eh first take over. If that kid actually did it, even once, I say WOW! I can't even eat a burger in like 4 bites. It was a very funny part of the movie and really helped the overall "likeability" of the movie, which was otherwise a little weak.
Film is a cornerstone of any good life.

shareI thought that he had it in his mouth and he pretended to swallow and the hamburger that was still in his mouth was edited out. Like photoshopped kinda. Well that's what i thought. I really think it would be impossible for a 9 year old to swallow a hamburger whole!! :-)
shareIt looked like once they cut to him actually holding the burger and doing the "trick" it was actually a much smaller burger in his hand than in the shot before. Or maybe my eyes are playing tricks. But they look maybe double the size of a slider.

shareAgreed. It totally looked like he really shoved it in his mouth (it was a small burger) but there is no way he swallowed it like that. His tongue looked way too clean when he opened his mouth, too.
shareI think it was a bit noticeable that he didnt really do it: after he "swallowed", it was obvious that hes cheeks were still bloated. Its very simple with CGI to erase the contents of his mouth.

Just saw the scene after reading the posts. When he actually puts the "burger" in his mouth, there is no meat between the buns - on neither take. That's how it goes in so easily. The empty mouth after that . . . whatever.
