Why didn't they use Black Widow to be the nurse at the end when Captain America woke up in the shield room?

It's possible they wanted to keep the audience blind to the ruse as Captain America for as long as they can. It's also more interesting to use Nick Fury as the surprise SHIELD person; especially with Avengers right around the corner. It also may be because of whatever contract they had Scarlett Johansson under. If she was only signed on for a few movies, it was important to make sure those appearances counted and a 2 second scene here wouldn't be worth it in the overall scheme of things.

Yes they might have not wanted everyone to know the Avengers.Hawkeye had a small part in Thor but me and others most likely knew who he was at that time.

It makes way more sense to have Nick Fury at the end since later in Avengers he is the one to bring Cap in on the events of the movie.

It is unlikely she was a nurse also with getting on the radio to warn the agents.

You should try to better pay more attention. If Black Widow was in this film, it would have been a plot hole since this movie takes place in the 1940s

They was trying to make him think it was the 40's with the baseball game. In real life it was the present time after they woke him up.Black Widow could very well be the nurse after he woke up.

She went on lunch break just before he woke up. Its on a deleted scene

Yeah; Amanda Righetti(who played the nurse)was originally slated to play Agent 13, a part that went to Emily VanCamp ultimately

In the deleted scene, the character of Amanda Righetti called in sick that day and Black Widow just went to lunch break as Cap woke up. Thats why that other nurse was in the room
