I think the sound is a bit after

Not THAT.....is the ultimate form of nostalgia for me.

Indeed lol, I especially love the part where a piece of Donatello's cloak strap falls off and Splinter has his hand out to say something. It's like he forgot for a second it was mid-concert so he decided not to.

reply

Yeah, sadly the sound and the video don't match. I have this downloaded on my computer via google video and at 21 I still love it. Now if it could just come out to dvd.

I'm about to turn 22 and I still absolutely adore this!! I still have my original tape and soundtrack cassette tape!! Sadly for some reason though, when I was little I felt the urge to try and record the show "Dinosaurs" over a Shredder part so for a few seconds there's the ending theme to Dinosaurs then static and no sound but then Shred-head comes back. And it's horribly worn out (so much so that before it could completely die I had to transfer it onto a DVD just so I could continue to watch it.)In fact the vid that link is to is actually in FAAAAAAR better shape than my tape is anymore! lol. So what if their costumes were bad, their mouths didn't move, and Shredder looked like a transvestite?! I for one think the songs were catchy and fun to sing along to...in fact I keep my CD copy of the soundtrack in the car at all times so I can listen to it on long car rides to make the time go by faster. And besides...like Mikey sings, "Ain't nothin' like a song with a beat, now."

I just found a video of this that my mom recorded for my brother and I back in 1990, the video is still pretty good for being an almost 20 year old recordable VHS. I'm thinking about putting it into my computer and on DVD.

well they have to release it on dvd. if they don't what on earth are they doing? that concert i'll bet the people that went there probably will never forget. those costumes i swear they looked as if they were the real turtles. really. the mouths actually matched the words to the songs. and everything.

reply

I'm not bashing it, but I really doubt anyone would buy it. The kids who went and saw it, a majority of them have "matured" and wouldn't buy it and the target audience now, being children, wouldn't want to see it because they are used to the turtles being CGI now, instead of giant puppets. I agree it looked amazing and I'd love it, but it won't ever happen.

Are you kidding me? They don't match at all and are nowhere near the movie costumes.

I would definately want it. And if ya'll want to replace those worn out tapes or audio tapes I think you might be able to find them on Amazon.com. I was just looking on there last week and I found them on there. I think I'm gonna wait a few more months and then get them then. I would love to see it come onto DVD and CD but I have to agree...I don't think it'll ever happen.

Just got a VHS of this- even by VHS standards the quality is awful since it was put out by Goodtimes, who always cut costs any way they could. It's in LP speed and no Hi-Fi track. I have a VCR that can play linear stereo but the sound was still recorded in mono, and the picture is bootleg-quality. The master tape probably looked much better, hopefully someone will find it and release a DVD!
