Book Vs Film

Why

In the movie is Kiran a home maker? In real life she had a BA, was from a very good wealthy family and was working

Why

In the movie does Kiran need a white woman to teach her to read English...she took classes and taught herself, why do they need to bring the 'Great White Hope' into it?

Why

Is the mother in law not a more prominant figure? she was the one who hid Deepak's condition from Kiran and her family, she is the one who was witness to the abuse...she is the one who looked after Sandeep and the one who betrayed Kiran on the stand...and yet the woman who Kiran gave custody of her children to while she was in prison.

Why

Isnt it featured that Kiran was obsessed that Deepak was seeing a white woman....in the biography she went on about 'the white woman'....when it was never confirmed what race his mistress was, she seemed more concerned she was white than the fact he was cheating

Why

isnt it in the film that Sandeep lived with Deepak's mum and Rajeev lived with her and Deepak?

Why

doesnt it show the true to life version where she had a choice of suitors...she turned some down and others turned her down....Kiran and Deepak's union was a mutually consented one where they met and got to know one another and agreed to get married....why is this anti arranged marriage propagenda??

Is this movie done for the soul purpose of monumenting Ash?? It has butchered the true to life story of Kiran and her marriage.
