Jorgen's Final Scene (SPOILER)

I just assumed he committed suicide, albeit anguishingly and reluctantly. He was having some symptoms, some debilitation, and told his wife that things will only get worse, and he took that pill and went into rapid decline while she did her best to comfort him, all the while in utmost distress: What a scene!

Yet when I read through some of the posts here, no one else seems to think he committed suicide...? Hmmm, just wondering…
