How did Theopolis survive his bite?

Close call huh.... :\

Being bitten by a zombie isn't enough to turn you into one. It isn't a virus, but space dust that causes anyone who dies (for whatever reason) to come back as a zombie. I presume his "playing" with Tammy got out of hand, so now he is sure to chain her (the window scene) before disabling her collar.

Nope. The zombies in this movie (and most zombie movies) are caused by radiation. So you become one simply by dying. All the wounds in the world won't "zombify" you unless they cause you to die.

It's amazing how many people ocnfuse zombie mythology with Vampires and Werewolves.

I enjoyed that scene.. the zombie bite is a 'hickey' for the living.

Smoke me a kipper. I’ll be back for breakfast

the one major exception to this is the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead.

The pregnant Russian chick barely, and I mean 1/1000th of a millimeter, gets nicked by the tooth of a zombie, and it was enough to eventually make her turn.

they even play that scene up and go close, slow motion. but it was enough to pass along the virus, which must be infectious enough to kill you.

Not so in all movies of this ilk. I just watched 28 Days Later were blood or saliva could change someone in minutes. One guy explained how he watch his family and a huge crowd in a train station turn into Zombie like creatures in a matter of minutes. So sometimes it is like Vamps
