What is really with the ending?i couldnt understand.Who was that man standing(looked wealthy)was it Joshua?

Yes it was Joshua. The third film will make it make a little more sense but I agree it was weird and too abrupt.
shareYup, it was Joshua. They should have cut the ending where Joshua was walking away from the fire. For one thing you can't tell that the man is Joshua in the end. I wouldn't have known unless I'd read the books. And that's another thing, unless you've read the books, his being there doesn't really mean anything, and it's totally confusing.

What is the name of the first movie? And when does the 3rd come out? Don't you just hate it when you're really into a movie and at the end is when you find out it's part of a series?
shareOkay, from what I understand from reading other posts, the third movie is coming out in November of this year. I was hoping for a sooner release myself, but no one asked ME what I thought . . . :-)
I could tell right away that it was Joshua, just getting off the docks in Savannah, GA. I thought it was kind of cool, leaves you hungry for more . . . I have read the books a million times, of course I know what happens, but my hubby doesn't, so I say ha, ha to him . . .
My only real disappointment was making Lydia such a minor character--and that it had to end at all.
I agree it was weird. Cuz there's Josh just doing this big, dramatic walk in front of the fire (And the whole fire thing was strange because I thought when sets the house on fire he meant to go in and commit suicide). And suddenly it shows some rich guy and all of a sudden he turns around and that's it. At first I thought it must mean Josh is LDS now cuz he looks more clean-cut.....
