It's about time the movie is released!

It's about time the movie is released even if it's not on the big screen it will be on my big screen! Boy I've spent hours blogging and typing trying to get some info and talking to other fellow Pactric fans and it finally paid off! I can't wait what a great birthday present for me Aug. the 4th. even if it won't be until Aug. 26th. or 28th. I can't wait! There was a lot of hard work that went into this movie and I'm glad it's being released and the actors directors producers crew dogs extras etc. gets the credit they deserve! Lynn Mulwee Wright, Gaffney, SC

Yep, Aug 26, 2008. Took two years. That must be a pain in the butt for the people behind the work. I played an extra in two scenes filmed in Chester, SC. We were treated very decently. It was hot as hell that month and we were on station for two full days. We had fun though! ;O)
I'm ringside corner cheering on one of the dogs, and then in the other scene (with slightly different clothes on), I'm one of the last people running out of that same building with "my son" (he was about 11yo). He and I had a blast joking around. Nice kid.

Jason Patric was totally unapproachable, while Sam Shepard was totally cool with all of us extras. I guess Jason was "in character". ha!

Have a great b-day, Lynn!

I dont think he was just in character ... he was pretty mad in Camden when he was doing the airplane hanger shoot.... I seen this in Spanish , but not subtitled..I was able to see myself in it..now I cant wait until the release on Aug 26th....will be at walmart at midnight....lol

I heard some kids were really acting up when they were trying to film the scene in the hanger and everyone was really hot.

Yes they were....they were yelling out wrestleing moves like...body slam etc.... and Jason got real mad and yelled at the set director and they had a little argument...it didnt help much that when Jason went to step over the wood dog fighting ring rail...he caught his foot and tripped and alomost went to the floor ....but those same kids laughed very loud....but I heard that one of the kids was the directors son...so that didnt help much either...

Some people were upset because Jason got so mad and that these were just kids, but you have to understand....they were being paid therefore were employees...kid or no kid..if you cant do your job, but are getting payed then you should get yelled at and fired..... everyone is replaceable..

Thanks for the happy birthday greeting! The movie was great I watched it 3 times! Loved it but not some of the nasty words! And I hate a lot got cut out but it probably wouldn't have tied into the movie anyway! Any way Matt Williams knows what he is doing and the rest of the crew! And there was a lot of Gaffney, SC footage, a blooper is when Walker is driving into town after getting laid off and you look out of the driver side there is a new Mobile home that has been brick underpinned, another is it shows a newly built garage across the road from where he is riding in the truck.LOL But it is still a great movie!

I finally saw this movie. I thought it to be a really terrific film and sorry that it did not get more notice than it did. yeah, the dog fight scenes were hard to look at, but if I had not known the details of filming these dogs and that they were treated better than the actors, I would be horrified.

Very sad film of "betrayal, deseperate times and bad decisions." Still in all, I bought the DVD and will be watching it again and again. I also found Jason Patric to be the great actor I always thought him to be.
