If you were a journalist and a ghost appeared to you with a big scoop, I'd say *beep* the scoop, you just saw a ghost, write about that. I get that no one would believe you at first, but then it appeared in front of an entire audience. Write about what the ghost told you.
Also, if he only committed the one murder, why would the ghost show up in the first place? He hadn't even committed the murder yet.
He showed up in the first place because he believed THEN that Lymon WAS the Tarot card killer. He was convinced of this by Lymon's dead secretary who told Strombel that she believed she was poisend by Lymon for wanting to report him as the Tarot card killer. In reality all Lymon wanted to avoid by killing his secretary was the revalation that he was frequenting the prostitute who was just murdered by the Tarot card killer.
The fact that Lymon later DOES murder in the manner of the Tarot card killer just prooves Strombel's hunch that someone capable of one murder could be cabable of many.
