A book that came out about a year ago called, "The Jump" by Ian O'Connor basically is through the fire, but with ten times more detail. It is about Telfair, but it explains alot more. It explains the backstory behind Marbury, all the dirtiest of the shoe wars, Dirty AAU basketball battles, Sebastian being in the middle of one of the biggest battles between Ziggy Sicignano. It is really an incredible book that is a must read.

It does make a pretty good companion piece to the movie, which obviously can't get into all that (sometimes tedious) detail or else it would be 25 hours long. The book isn't especially dramatic the way the movie is, but it lays out pretty explicitly everything that's going on, for better or worse.

Also, if you know what Ian O'Connor looks like, you can see him in many shots in Through the Fire, as they were following Sebastian at the same time.

Interesting, I actually didn't look to see Ian O. I will have to check next time I see it.
