Sebastian Telfair is a bust so far but this movie is good

Like the subject says this movie is good but he is a bust so far in the NBA. Devin Harris (of my Dallas Mavericks & drafted rightfully over Telfair) was the best point guard taken of the 2004 NBA Draft bar none. I saw him live in his rookie year and he was held to 5 points in 21 min. This guy has not done anything significant so far in the league. I don't think he will remain in Portland long as well.

Kind of quick to label him a bust.

The man has been killin coming off the bench for Portland. His situation is sort of like J O' Neal. Once he leaves Portland, I think we'll see huge improvement.

Not great in high school? I assume you don't live in New York or have ever attended one of Lincoln's games.

I'm sorry but after the Lebron James/Kevin Garnett comments, I just can't take you or your opinion seriously.

Are you retarded? The Cavs are fourth in the East, and LeBron is currently the 4th player in history averaging 30 points, 7 boards and 6 assists. LeBron is one of the most complete players in the league and he's only 21! think about in a few more years. and if you've watched a Minnesota game lately you would know that Garnett destroys teams every night, but he has no support from his teammates. their roster is horrible, how can you expect him to carry them without any help. And you can't honestly say that espn was saying LeBron would have been better off in college. espn loves LeBron. haha..and LeBron has not gotten better skill wise??? Come on now..

Congratulations, Samjung, your comments on KG and Lebron are the MOST *beep* IN THE HEAD, FLAT-OUT RETARDED words I've seen yet on this site. Someone trying to characterize those guys as busts is so INSANELY STUPID I can't even respond. How dumb are you?

reply

If any of the current prep to pro basketball players needed college tutiledge then it was Kobe Bryant. Bryant is by far the dumbest of the current 'NBA superstars' and his poor play down the stretch of games and his inability to understand the TEAM concept (Which is taught in college because everyone was 'the man' coming from their high school) he will never win anything significant in the league. He wont even lead his team to the playoffs unless Shaq comes back. Watch the Lakers season go up in smoke unless Bryant learns to defer to his teammates and/or let Lamar Odom (the team's REAL MVP) shine.

reply

What has Kobe's teams down without Shaq? Imagine Shaq in his prime with Lebron, that's championships.

Say man... I dont know if your memory is short but dont you know that Jameer Nelson, Delonte West, AND Shaun Livington were drafted in the 2004 draft? All 3 of those players are better than Devin Harris. Dont let personal bias cloud your judgment in who is the better player.

Don't forget about Ben Gordon, combo guard, who is light years ahead of Devin Harris.

Telfair will improve, one thing I learned on this documentary is that he has a lot of passion for the game, and a good work ethic, which will only get tougher and better. He might need a change of scenery but Portland is trying to change things around too.

Get the *beep* off this board, you are a dumb*ss.

I wouldn't call him a bust. The kid would be a Junior if he went to school. We have to watch the jabrone Rafael Araujo play. HE IS A BUST!!

If Portland give up on him like they did O'Neil they will regret it. Kid is still young.

reply

Actually, he'd be a Sophomore.

you cant call a 2nd player who was draffted out of high school a bust. Some players take more time than others to develop. T-mac averaged around 9 pts a game as a sophmore, rashard lewis wasnt contributing right away, and Chauncy Billups, even though he wasnt drafted out of HS, took some years to come into his. However he still shows flashes of greatness throughout the season. Hes just inconsistent which is usually the case with young players.

reply

How about you watch a Bulls game. They play as a team as well as others in the league, and as far as King James, he has added an outside jumper this year and is tearing the NBA a new *beep* You say he would learn more going to college? He wouldn't have been challenged in college, he is learning more playing NBA talent over college kids.

reply

um if "about 5 teams" have won a nba title in the last 19 years then how does that signify being all about individuality in the nba.

you think all of those teams didnt have to play together to win a title?

jordan won 6 titles as a bull, how many did he win as a wizard?

im sure pippen, rodman, harper, kukoc, and others werent a factor?

what about the rockets in 94 and 95? olajuwon and drexler were in the league for a very long time but thats their only 2 titles?

and the lakers? kobe and shaq together? 3 rings

apart? 0

yeah it is all about individuality you're right

reply

Gimme a break. A bust? The guy can't even legally rent a car in most states. As pointed out, the list of high school players taking several years to mature is filled with All-Stars. Telfair has great talent and a great work ethic (his family is tough and supportive, as seen in the documentary). If the Blazers let him go, they'll eventually regret it because he's going to be a solid pro once he finds his comfortable niche.

Thats funny you say that. Devin Harris was a big contributer to the Mavs success in the playoffs (not the finals) but playoffs while your boys West & Nelson were at home watching them & Livingston is good but started off injured.
