What this movie is REALLY about [SPOILER]

More than anything else, this documentary is a portrait of an amazing family. Telfair had such an incredible support system in place, and I'll never forget the sequence at the end when he celebrates and cries in his brother's arms, and his younger brother cries in his, and the whole family hugging, etc.

Really it was a fascinating and beautiful portrait of an incredibly strong family. (Although I was a bit confused about what the deal was with his dad...)

The deal with pops is that he was a worthless deadbeat dad for most of Bassy's life who "suddenly" decided he wanted to become close to his biological offspring after learning that he was a future NBA prodigy with millions of $ in his future. Did you not notice that the brothers all have different last names?

idk about thd whole deabeat thing but all his bros had different names becasue they were taken in when something happened to their familes. For example Jamel's mother was murdered when he was 3
