'...smells like the future'

it is amazing whenthe little girl touches booker's hand and says something to the effect "i just touched booker...if you don't believe me you can smell my hand"

the befuddled documentary maker asks"does he have a smell?"

the little girl answers "yes, he does ----HE SMELLS LIKE THE FUTURE"

it was stunning.

it was also stunning that james illegally took down the booker signs (using police and firemen under his command) and the fed election supervisors did nothing.

those who voted for james are blind.

My friends and I were discussing if that scene of the hand was set up or not, and we couldn't decide 'cause it was a long take. But if it were real can you imagine filming that and knowing it'd be in the movie? Or if it was set up, it was still brilliant.

I believe it. Kids sometimes say some poignant things. But even if she was fed the line, she still delivered it better than anything that's come out of George W. Bush's mouth in almost six years.

yea it wasn't set up at all. I recently attended a speech he gave in North Carolina, and he said it was the most amazing shot he had.

Tha line was great she said, "He smells like the Future" how right she was, & I believe he is just getting started, Congressman, Senator, Governor...here's hoping for more from the little bit I did see of this very intelligent charismatic man In Booker.

Truly a moving scene, obviously spotaneous. That's the Black future I see for myself and the kids I hope I'm lucky enough to have one day.

And in the meantime, I hope the Jesse Jacksons of this world will disappear as quickly as a bad Al Sharpton perm in the Newark rain.
