I don't think you quite understand how difficult it is to make a fight scene. But sure.

To create a lightsaber duel, as any other sword duel in a movie, you need to work as a team. A lot of people seem to think that all you need is a choreographer, actors and a camera. If your actors or the choreography doesn't quite live up to the director's expectations, there are several ways to "improve" a duel. And I am not talking about wires and CGI. I'm talking about extreme close-ups, and fast cuts. That way you can improve the speed and skill of the actors. This has not been used in "Revelations", though. But hey, maybe we will see it in the next movie?

// Just my 2 cents.

Nick Jamilla, the person who chereographed the lightsaber duels in "Revelations", and plays one of Zhanna's "Rouges", wrote this book: (Amazon.com link)

"Shimmering Sword: Samurai, Western, and Star Wars Sword Fighting"

"What would lightsaber fighting look like if the lightsaber existed in the real world? Shimmering Sword delves into the Star Wars universe by comparing sword culture on Earth with Jedi Knight lightsaber culture in George Lucas' films. Jamilla's book explains how fear and honor have regulated the life of swordsmen in Europe and Japan and describes how the sword was wielded by warriors in battle and in duels. Shimmering Sword is a look at the real world warriors who have influenced the Jedi Knight, the Master-Apprentice instruction among swordsmen and Jedi Knights, and concludes with an in-depth look at the lightsaber fights in the Star Wars films.
"Nick Jamilla discusses Jedi sword fighting from the perspective of a martial artist and fencer. A blackbelt in aikido and kendo, and participant in the 1987 World Fencing Championships, Jamilla is a modern Jedi Knight with the unique background to comment on the Star Wars lightsaber."

This last lightsaber fight between those two girls was just ridiculous. You can't even call this bad choreography, there was hardly ANY choreography - while those little melee fights between the guys and hero girl's sister actually were pretty well done... and please - don't come saying "It's hard to get a good choreography". These two guys surely had no 20.000$ budget for their fight http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NE5elL30w4 but pulled off a nice, thrilling and very entertaining lightsaber duel, whilst "Revelation's" final fight nearly put me to deepest slumber.

To bad Nick's hard work didn't show, then.

The battle sucked big time.I don't even know why i watched this film,but I do feel the urge to lambaste it for wasting 45 minutes of my time.How worse can the acting get?As for sword battles,even films made long ago like the seven samurai had better scenes.Probably the numerous Star Wars spoofs even do a better impression than this feature.I hope the film gets buried in the sands of Tattooine.
