The church - is it real?

Does anyone know which church was used in the movie - the location of the "silver bells"? I think in the movie it was called St. Lucy's.

Any info on the church is appreciated.

THanks.

Check out this link. I found a church called St. Lucy's in New York City. I don't know if it's the same one, because I couldn't find any pictures. Hope this helps.

This isn't the same church. There is no St. Lucy's Church in Chelsea, where the movie takes place.

WEELLL. you might not believe me but i was one of the kids in the 1 minute choir scene. the inside of the church might not be the same church as the outside. the inside of the church is a presbyterian church in pasadena, california.... way off from new york. the outside part where the silver bells actually are is propbably in new york, but i dont know.

I looked up a St. Lucy's in New York City on google, came up with this http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=FaX&um=1&q=St.%20Lucy%27s%20%20E%20104th%20St%20New%20York%20City%20rose%20window&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=il&start=0

I zoomed in on the church window and there is SOMETHING in the rose window on the front that RESEMBLES the bottom of bells. If I had a clearer view, then I could tell better, as it is, that's the best I could get, so I'll be continuing the search(I'm actually going to New York 2 days before Christmas, and now plan on stopping by this church if I can to see if the bells are actually there)

Victoria Justice, the young girl who plays Rose has a website that includes a page (with photos) devoted to this movie. While it doesn't specify the church it does have a link to contact her. Maybe she could tell you where the church is located. The link to the page on her website is: http://www.victoriajustice.net/pictures/silverbells/silverbells-gallery.htm

My hunch is that this church with silver bells as you see it in the movie doesn't exist in New York. Victoria's website says the movie was filmed in May, 2005. Since the final scenes in the movie where they find the Silver Bells were filmed in the snow, it appears more likely and more cost effective to film these scenes in a controlled environment, i.e. a studio backlot. Good luck in finding an answer.

It is the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, CA. Just do a google image search on the church name and city and you will find it. Or, you can check this link: http://static.panoramio.com/photos/original/26321192.jpg

However, there is not an image of silver bells on the front of the church as it appears in the movie and the snow is obviously fake as the scenes were shot in southern California in May of 2005. The church has been used in several other movies and television shows.
