if someone's kid ran away wouldn't you atleast tell the family members

i thought catherine (the art museum woman) definetly should of told the little boys dad where he was. he was like fifteen he doesn't really know what he's doing let alone he's in a lot of danger living in nyc on his own. that was probably the dumbest thing catherine could of done she's the adult and she should of done something about it no matter what the kid said! if i were the dad i wouldn't of forgiven her that lightly!

Yes, this movie is crap. An adult should have immediately gone to the authorities. It just ruins the movie for me that someone would be so irresponsible with a kid's life. I could almost see it if he was 17 years old about to turn 18 in a few weeks but this is a kid. I usually like Hallmark movies but this one is awful.

He was 16 when he ran away, 17 the next yr. when she was talking to the dad. Ok, so I'm sure she could have found a way to get a hold of him in that yr. even if the son didn't tell her. The police was looking. I can only assume that the kid told her lies about how horrible he was treated and she thought she was keeping him from an abusive situation. When she learned the dad was a good guy after all and going out of his mind with worry, yes then she really should have told him.

Completely agree! And the other woman, Lizzie knew, too. So irresponsible.
