The kid Danny was a punk...

Sorry, is it wrong for me to think that? Any kid who punches his own father hard enough to leave a mark I think warrants that title, frankly... and the cops for some reason take the kid's side?

I could understand and side with an 18+ year old kid set on leaving home and making his own way in NYC to become a photographer but I don't get how the father is supposed to be the bad guy for putting his foot down over a kid whose barely 17 and planning it, even if it wasn't very diplomatic.

Don't get me wrong, I get that his dad was hardly "the warm and the fuzzies" but the kid struck me as just so damn moody and hypersensitive and, frankly, whiny; his sister's the long-suffering one who hardly complains and still gets caught in the middle of their crap and doing their housework and still making excuses for the both of them.

I thought the same thing!!!! Ugh! What a jerk! To treat his dad like that! I didn't care for the dad either but geez, Danny should have at least called. I also thought it was terrible the two adult women never told on him. He's a kid. Frustrating.

I feel the same way watching this. He was such a brat. How could you treat your father like that and make him worry out of his mind. He was a kid! Would've been different if he were 18.
