Rosenbaum likes it

I didn't really liked this film, but Jonathan Rosenbaum gave it a thumbs up, and he probably knows better than me.

Some would say this film is made for the international festival audience, and that is why it didn't work in Chile. I don't know.

Edit: Rosenbaum's top 25 of 2005 in "Slate":

"Play. A first feature from Chile by Alicia Scherson, packed with ideas and pirouettes, that gave me enormous amounts of pleasure both times I saw it. It showed at both the Tribeca and Chicago film festivals, won a prize at the former, and is still making the festival rounds. Since it's dated 2005, it may reach us on DVD in 2006 or 2007."

Well stilgar-4, I am with you there.
I've never have read any of Mr. Rosenbaum reviews but he writes in an important site. Therefore I suppose he must be a knowledgeable fellow.

Anyway you could find critics saying the opposite in equally relevant sites (if not more) written by critics equally important (if not more)
