Incomprehensible, but amazing

While playing this game I struggled to understand anything that was going on...How each story was connected to one another and the reasons the characters did what they did...All confusing. I thought I understood it, I really did by the time I discovered who Emir was..I should have just turned off the game then...Because after the credits I found that the game wasn't quite over. And, after seeing the last few cutscenes, my head exploded. Someone please give me a overview of the story. (what literally happened, not your interpretations of the meaning) I'm dissapointed I wasn't able to piece it all together. I played the game, completely enthralled in it's bizzareness expecting to understand all by the last scene. Help me out, I'm dying.

Look up Hand in Killer 7. There's a fan translation floating around on the internet. (It's a book.)

It's a fansite, but he has read "Hand in Killer7", and played all of Suda's games (Flower, Sun, and Rain, The Silver Case, Moonlight Syndrome, etc.) so he knows what he is talking about. No mere conjecture here. The whole game is pretty much a metaphor for the politics of Japan and the U.S. (This is a fact, not opinion, Suda himself said it). So that's why some things in the game seem to simply make no sense. Hope this clears some stuff up.

The game uses post modern storytelling. It creates some characters and alludes to some relations and presents clues and symbolism in a broad enough spectrum to leave it up in the air.

After seeing some analysis and The Hand of Killer 7, the game ties in Gods, ghosts, demons, experiments, superhumans and psychotic characters into a heaping mess of whatever you want it to be.
