or is this game way scarier than a lot of other horror games out there?

The idea that wherever you go, this guy thats like impossible to kill could just pop up (you can fight him off tho) at any time just scares me, one time, i turned on the game, stared at the screen, then turned it back off cuz i was just too scared to go on.

Like, Silent Hill 2 was pretty dang scary, but I felt relatively safe at times playing that game. I'm ALWAYS on edge while playing this game and never feel safe, and always think that he's just gonna pop out of nowhere.

Absolutely agree.. the thing (i wont say hate) I dislike about this game is that you cant fight.. all i want to do is just stab the thing just to hurt it and possibly kill it (im not saddistic, i just want debi gone).. its so much scarier running and hiding.. and when they find you *shivers*...

..that dog doesnt help much either.. hes just good company walking down those creepy dark passages..

i agree.

going back to silent hill 2. if they had pyramid head chase you through levels and stuff, then it'd probably be the scariest game ever created. But the fact that you only run into him about 4 or 5 times, and you have a gun to shoot everything else just makes it less scary

i'm seriously too scared to go play haunting ground (even tho i really wanna)

I just wish i had someone to play the game right next to me.. so i could just experience it.. coz it seems like such an interesting game.. but i just cant get pass certain stages.. im dead most of the time :(

you should try fatal frame, alone in the dark, clock tower 1 & 3 clock tower three is like psycho the enemy pops up like almost everywhere haunting ground is like lame compared to it

as a matter of fact, i've wanted to get my hands on a copy of the first 2 fatal frames and the original clock tower for a while now, and I'm gonna get the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark when it comes out.

Tanya, there are a bunch of Haunting Ground Let's Play videos on YouTube and that's where I first saw the game. I never thought I would actually be able to find it and buy it, and I wanted to experience it, so I actually spent close to 10 hours watching it online! Sad I know, but it was still scary, but even scarier when I played it for real. I had to have a bunch of friends with me.

Yea, I played the demo for Alone In The Dark: Inferno (or whatever it's called) It wasn't horrible, but by the end I had completely lost interest. I wish developers could make a good survival horror game these days. (everything is action horror)
