Fiona annoyed me.

She had potential to be a good protagonist and I was really rooting for her but near the end of the game after you defeat Riccardo and she encounters Lorenzo, she began to irritate me and I realized how useless she was.

I'm not saying she should've gone all Jill Valentine or anything like that, but by this point at the game you'd expect her to do more than just stand around whimpering and looking scared waiting for Hewie to save her.

She barely even interacts with any of the antagonists, apart from 1 or 2 words. The majority of her dialogue is commands to Hewie.

Compared to Alyssa from Clock Tower 3 (very similar game) who is several years younger than her, Fiona is quite pathetic. Alyssa showed growth as the game went along, slowly becoming a stronger, more resourceful person who used her wits and bravery to defeat/evade the antagonists. Granted she has the Rooder bow, but thats only available in the boss battles. Fiona would be screwed if it werent for Hewie. She spent the entire game doing absolutely nothing except cry.

Hell the little girl from Siren Blood Curse did more than her. I can imagine there isnt a lot a 19 year old college student could do in the situation except run and hide, but at least show some sort of development as the story goes along.
Great game otherwise though. I really liked the villains, especially Daniella.

Fiona wasn't that great, but Alyssa...UGH. Talk about an irritating protagonist.
