Hi,

I saw it yesterday and I think it was very very bad...well, only my opinion, the first one was awesome. I think this is just a bad Direct to DVD trash...But well, maybe you like it, but I doubt it, if you loved the first one...but what could you expect from a Director who did Mortal Kombat 2 !

See ya

I just saw it, and I must say that I found it somewhat undeveloped, since I kept waiting for it to pretty much end like the first movie, but never did.

Having seen the first, it almost seems cruel (Not wanting to spoil too much here) to that (seen in the last few scenes) "unexpected twist" right at the end.
Just not quite too brightly done of him. Especially since he discovered what he can do, his little research, and what he'd learned about his dad before him etc.

I liked the ending better in the first movie compared to this sequel.

This was just a cheap knockoff of the first Butterfly Effect. The fist one is one of the best movies I've ever seen. This one was so bland. Nothing good happened. I kept on waiting for some dramatic changes to thier lives like the first one.

i'm a huge fan of the first, and got my hands hold of this one, i enjoyed it, but there was something about the cast that wasn't quite right.

reply

I haven't seen this. When I heard there was a sequel, I was so disappointed. I just can't imagine another movie like The Butterfly Effect. And the cover looks a little dodgy too.

hey mate
i've actually seen it, not that bad !
i mean , part 1 better right, but also this one is good !

what's the matter guys ??

why you didn't like it ??

reply

well if U have seen the first movie..then this one would really bum you out..!!
I mean the direction is totally haywire, the storyline is non-existent and most of all the theme of the movie was no where even close to what the first movie had...

Really really aweful, I must say...!!

What a huuuuuuuuge disappointment.
The cast aside, since the original actors may have other commitments (or maybe they caught a glimpse of the script and vomited), the story was too rushed and it didn't even follow the basic outline that we saw in the first movie--this new guy didn't have "gaps" in his memory to fill in.

One of the more decent theories I've heard about the first BE was that he wasn't time traveling, but rather the entire story takes place in his younger years and his blackouts are merely moments of judgment (thinking of what his future will be like if he takes a certain action). What the audience is seeing of his future are more like predictions than actual moments... but anyway, the movie was flexible that way. BE2 felt like it was just being tossed in our laps. It was cold, slow, calculated, and fairly uninteresting. I didn't even like the characters. Evan (Kutcher) and Kayleigh (Smart) from the first BE were likeable, or at least you could feel some measure of sympathy for them at various points. BE2 has none of that, it's just....... apathetic and emotionless.

Um, bad acting didn't help either.

It's direct to DVD. Of course it's bad.

I liked it.. but i have a theory that i apply to most movies and especially to sequals... go into the movie thinking that it's gonna be a piece of $#!T. Then, when it does come out to be just a little bit better, it's alright and at least semi worth your time.

I didn't like the second one so much. I would even think that when I would have seen the 2nd one first, then numbber 1: i would still like the first best.

They are just trying to repeat the "condition" on another person and another situation. I wish they would have just explored the same family. I would have even liked it more if it turned out to be a military experiment (to let soldiers be able to anticipate to whats coming :P). Yeah cheasy.. but better than to have spent bucks on a sequel that was more like "apply the script on another person and make it less interesting".

Or: forget the army, just: weave further on the story of jason ?

Might as well watch paint dry instead of watching this movie!
