I was lucky enough to see a sneak preview of this movie and it was in-freaking-tense!! Great acting, tight directing & editing, very clever dialogue and AMAZING make-up!! This is a horror movie that adults will enjoy because it doesn't talk down to the audience. You're expected to watch & listen and put the facts together without the spoonfeeding that you get in movies from film school dropouts. Every actor was the perfect choice for the role they played. I know that there will be some changes made to the final product so I'll be spending money to see it again AND buy the DVD.

I agree, its sad to say that a few Ebert wanna-be's can cast poor light onto a solid movie. Am seeing a screening on monday, can't wait as all I've seen is raw footage in the past.

Its a good ride, nothing shabby about it, Altered starts fast, grosses you out a bit, and builds the tension throughout. It has the elements made for a horror/thriller, and does take the viewer on a solid ride.

Will post my review on tuesday or wednesday after seeing the finished cut.

As I mentioned, the movie was a good ride, the creature and the effects were great, much better as a finished product vs. what I saw previously. The movie flowed quickly and I think it's a solid horror/thriller that will grip the viewers.

go see it when it comes out, its worth the $10.00!

Just watched it, and commented on it on here. I had a preview copy. I liked the movie. I didn't love it, I rated it a 5. It was tense though, I'll give them that.

I'll probably pick it up to buy. I'm a fan of Blair Witch, and Haxan Films, I hope to see some more stuff out of them. For me though, this was a bit of a letdown of a followup to Blair Witch.

ooooookaaaaaaaaaaay..... this has nothing to do with BWP........

I'm a huge horror fan and this was one of the damn best I've seen this year.
Suspense was awesome..... great makeup.. great acting... awesome gore and that's not happening to often with movies who actually have a good plot aswell.

If you like Sci-Fi/Horror this is what you've waited for all year!!
I'm abit tired of ppl who like ROMANCES and Dramas comment on horror movies...
I didn't go and rate Titanic with a 1/10 either allthough it deserves exactly that imo...
Tastes differ... stick to commenting on genres you know something about...

Hey yezariel he was talking about this being the next movie that the director of Blair Witch has made. So it would seem that you are the one commenting on a genre that you know nothing about. You probably love Uwe Boll movies also lol.

Just discovered this film on Netflix. I was very impressed. One of the best alien movies I have seen. It helps that it was scary and gruesome. Great acting, characters and accents. They got the accents right! I rarely see that in Hollywood productions. The accents in movies are usually parodies, but these people sounded just like people I know and grew up with here in Florida. Great job! And the ending was just so good!! I'll have to buy this one.

I purchased the DVd for a mere three bucks at Best Buy and was pleasantly surprised by how tense, grim, and frightening it was.

Yes, not a single boring moment; a very tense and spooky movie.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)
