How come the herd of aliens walking past Wyatt didn't see him? Or ignored him?

I just watched it...
Well he said they were experimenting on them and after that he almost blows Alien´s head with his minds so...I guess they were experimenting on him and he adopted some of their psychic powers...that´s how I understood that whole situation...
