I understand that addiction to porn is real, but....

....I thought this movie handled it in a silly way. In a rather Bible-thumping way. The actor who played Josh was not very good either. He gazed on porn and on swimming and on dinner with the same exact expression and spoke in the same monotone.
And what was up with him rejecting the girl he'd seen on the Internet? Was it to say he couldn't get off unless he was alone, and that real sex scared him?
