Great show! Very similar to The Wire...

...in the way the show explores the intersection of both sides of the law in depth, exposing the dynamic and invisible way corruption embeds itself into politics, which creates government.

Yeah, we all know politicians are corrupt, but we seldom see under the hood, the clever Machiavellian machinations that underlie policy making. No wonder the show received very little promotion and cancelled after the third season.

I also like how Brotherhood mirrors the real-life Bulger brothers--William Bulger who became a state senator and president of the University of Massachusetts, and Whitely Bulger became a mobster/informant for the F.B.I.
