WWE Armageddon official card/predictions

This looks to be the completed card.

Hell in a Cell: Randy Orton vs. Undertaker

WWE is using this match WAY too often. This will make six of them in the last four years. It's a better matchup for HIAC than Batista/Trips, though. Since it looks to be the blowoff match for the feud, Orton should win - and I think he will.

Tag champs vs. tag champs: Batista & Rey Mysterio vs. Big Show & Kane

I find it very interesting that the cross-brand storylines are not ending. Perhaps a themed Wrestlemania is in the works. And with the way RAW got killed at Survivor Series, Batista's injury (though it's good that he's working through it), and Big Show & Kane's booking as monsters I believe they will win. Also, it should be VERY clear that Batista and Mysterio are only holding the belts so this is champs vs. champs; there are at least SIX legit tag teams on Smackdown - the current champs are not one of them.

MNM vs. Psicosis & Super Crazy

Is this match still happening? It should still be good, but what's the point if the tag straps have been moved?

WWE United States Championship Best of Seven Series, Match Four: Booker T vs. Chris Benoit

If they actually give Booker four straight wins, I'll be VERY pleasantly surprised. But I don't think there has ever NOT been a best of 5 or 7 series that didn't go the whole way. Benoit FOR SURE.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Juventud Guerrera (c) vs. Kid Kash

This match has DUD written all over it. I really don't see and don't want to see a title switch.

John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. Matt Hardy

A little thrown-together, but there's no reason it should suck. I look for JBL to score a heelish win; Hardy's depush since the Edge feud has been downright sad.

Nothing wrong with disagreement; in fact, it would be boring as hell if everyone had the same POV. I really think Orton's getting pushed back to the world title; there are scant few other options (and I would NOT consider Taker to be one of them). A match I've been aching to see for months is Batista vs. Orton vs. Taker, which could easily be SD's main event at Wrestlemania. A Taker win in the HIAC would only make sense if that indeed is the plan.

No, the Raw tag team titles aren't on the line in that match.

While it would be nice to see Psicosis and Crazy, both loads better than Juventud (who is no slouch), get some gold and recognition, this doesn't seem to be the time or the place. If the Mexicools have the CW and TT titles, they'll have to become a much larger part of Smackdown than they really have any business being. Besides, the Smackdown tag team division is one of the best things WWE has going right now - there needs to be stability in the championship itself.

Yeah, I always like to post these whenever the card first gets formed. I'll edit in any further matches once they're announced.

Hell in a Cell:Randy Orton vs. The Undertaker
This is a tough one, but could very well be another squash match for UT as the victor. This feud is getting older than Mysterio and Guerrero's feud.

Inter-promotional Tag Team match,Champions vs. Champions:(SD)World Tag Team Champions(SD)World Champion Batista and Rey Mysterio vs. (raw)World Tag Team Champions Kane&The Big Show I wish this was for the (raw)WTT titles(the SD World title, just make it more interesting) so there would be no tag team division on the Raw brand anymore(I ain't saying get rid of these titles that have been around for 34years but just the division). So you can tell who I got my money on to win(I think Triple H will prolly interfere anyway since he has a feud with the Big Show now). Now that Mysterio and Batista are (sd)WTT champs i've dubbed them as this decade's 2Dudes with Attitude.

United States Championship Series match#4:Booker T vs. Chris Benoit
Tio leads the series 3 matches 2 none, I think Benoit will win this and the next 2.
World Cruiserweight Championship match:Juventud Guerrera(c) vs. David Kid Kash
I don't really follow the cruiserweight division that much and plus I don't know much about this Kid Kash fellow either. All I know is that he(Kash) is a former
TNA superstar.

John Bradshaw Layfield vs. Matt Hardy
Looks like a good grudge match but I gotta go with JBL on this one. If Hardy wins it'll be cause of Orlando Jordan and thats when the face change for Jordan will start.

MNM vs. Super Crazy&Psicosis of the Mexicools This'll be a great battle of the tag team cruiserweights. This'll prolly be the curtain jerk of Armageddon. This reminds me of Summerslam 94 where the Headshrinkers were suppose to defend the WTT titles to Bam Bam Bigelow&I.R.S. but 2Dudes with Attitude defeated the Headshrinkers 2 nights before Summerslam in a house show. But the match still went on(before I edited this I said that Mexicools would be WTT champs and it would make them a more dominating stable). I'm still going with the Mexicools for the win.

Handicap match:William Regal&Paul Burchill vs. Blater Bobby Lashley
Lashley has went against all the midcardes so I guess they're runnin' out and having this (and maybe some more) a handicap match. They did'nt wanna leave Lashley outta this PPV neither. Lashley my bet in this one and his campaign will keep continuing(til the end when he wins a title then loses it,lol).

Its rumoured that there is Boogeyman vs. Sylvan and L.O.D. 2.5 vs. The Dicks
If so it'll be a squash for Boogeyman and I don't know how long this L.O.D.2.5/Dicks feud going.

This week's match is match 3 in the best of 7 series. 4 wins are required to end the series.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that the series will be 3-3 and the deciding match will be at the PPV. I can't for the life of me think of a 5 or 7 match series that has ever NOT gone the whole way.

I see no reason for the 7th match to have an added stipulation. That would be gimmick for the sake of gimmick, which is never a good idea.

How can the series be tied at 3-3 going in to the ppv when Booker is 2-0 up and there is only 1 more Smackdown to go before it?

Well perhaps the laws of physics cease to exist on your stove.

reply

There are two more Smackdowns, but yeah, you're right about the constricted time frame. However, when Booker and John Cena had their series last year, some of the matches were contested at house shows. They could easily do that again.

I forgot about the Smackdown that just went. I think it will all depend on the contact status of Benoit I hear his contract is up shortly I wouldnt be at all surprised if they see how things go with talks. But I think it is safe to say it will go to 3-3 though.

Randy Orton vs. UT-Hell in a Cell-I gotta go with Taker. No reasoning, just kinda a gut feeling, it could really go either way.
Prediction:Taker
Batista & Rey Mysterio vs. Big Show and Kane-This could go one of 2 ways. Either RAW wins, and this continues at NYR, or HHH interferes and costs the monsters the match and set up Triple H/Big Show at NYR. Second makes more sense
Prediction:Batista and Rey Mysterio
MNM vs. Psicosis and Super Crazy-I don't know why Batista and Rey won the titles. I don't get it. Oh well. MNM with the Snapshot
Prediction:MNM
Booker T vs. Chris Benoit-If Benoit wins, a thick rivalry will have to be ended on SD (not a good idea) unless they want to end it at the rumble. If Booker wins, Benoit looks like complete crap. I've heard his contract is almost up so its possible. But I think he'll go out on a high note.
Prediciton: Chris Benoit
Kid Kash vs. Juvi-I think this ones been added. If not it will be. I know zero about this Kid Kash guy. Has he been on velocity? Anyway, I'll go with Juvi.
Prediction:Juvi
Matt Hardy vs. JBL-Both men probably need this one, but there are so many face wins already so ill go with Bradshaw.
Prediction:JBL
Handicap Match-Bobby Lashley vs. William Regal and Paul Burchill. WOOO YEAH GO LASHLEY! Lashley is the Brock Lesnar type WWE needs back. Blaster for the win.
Prediction:Bobby Lashley

If Boogeyman is in action, he'll win.

Surivivor Series:4-2
Overall Record:11-10
just more reason not to listen to me...

Hell in a Cell: Randy Orton vs. Undertaker

Orton sadly. Undertaker should win but stupid thing's gonna happen. Stupid STUPID Orton.

Tag champs vs. tag champs: Batista & Rey Mysterio vs. Big Show & Kane

Show & Kane WOOOOOO and possibly a RAW invasion at the end.

MNM vs. Psicosis & Super Crazy

Mexicools

WWE United States Championship Best of Seven Series, Match Four: Booker T vs. Chris Benoit

Benoit so he can become the champ in like a month sheesh. It takes so long to have a US champion nowdays.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Juventud Guerrera (c) vs. Kid Kash

Kid Kash, yeah this match is stupid. Kash has only been on SD! for awhile now... but heck this title gets tossed around each month so he'll be the new champ for a few weeks.

John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. Matt Hardy

JBL. Its so sad their not using Hardy anymore.

Boogeyman vs Sylvan

Yawn. Boogeyman will win, start going up the ladder on Smackdown! and then get fired a few months later.

Lashley vs Regal & Burchill

This could be kinda interesting. Lashley should win. But that would mean Regal's now just a crap wrestler... unless Lashley throws Regal out and then he pins Burchill. Either way Im going for Lashley.
